Free Audiobook Version of Invest Without Being Ripped Off
I’ve uploaded the full audiobook version of How to Invest Without Being Ripped Off to Amazon. In its eternal wisdom, Amazon has priced this at almost £20. That’s ridiculous and they won’t allow me to do anything about it.
So, would you like a free copy? I’m giving the audiobook away to everyone who has bought a copy of the paperback in the past or who buys one from now on. Just email me the order number of your Amazon purchase and I’ll send a link from which you can download the audiobook.
Inflation and your investments
The UK’s inflation rate and economic growth (er, shrink actually) rates are lagging those of the US and EU. The US might be set to start reducing interest rates in the Summer, but the UK has a double-problem to deal with: high inflation and a shrinking economy.
In terms of investments, what should you do? Well, my answer to this remains pretty much the same no matter what’s going on in the big, bad world of economics: ignore it and just keep investing on a regular basis.
WTF (What’s the Fact?)
The UK political scene is all a bit Keystone Cops at the moment. But this is not new.
Here are some words of wisdom from politicians of not-so-long-ago:
“If the King’s English was good enough for Jesus, it’s good enough for me”, Miriam Ferguson, Texas governor.
“I think that gay marriage should be between a man and a woman”, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
“You just can’t let nature run wild”, Walter Hickel, Alaska Governor, justifying a wolf cull.
And who can forget…
“When your back is against the wall, there is only one thing to do, and that is turn around and fight”, John Major.
